Our next meeting will be on Sunday, September 22 at Beacon Valley Grange Hall at 2 PM. Lecturer Robert Charbonneau will present the program entitled “Remembrance.” A guest speaker is planned. ; Beacon Valley Grange will serve refreshments.

Did you know ...

The Agriculture / Conservation Committee will be offering the following activities for all Granges to participate in:

1. Donation to Heifer International, with total donations from throughout the year to be presented at the Banquet at the Connecticut State Grange Annual Session.

2. Agriculturally Related Resolutions -- If a Community or Pomona Grange endorses any resolutions related to agriculture they can be submitted to the State Grange for action at the annual session by directing those resolutions to the Director of the Agriculture Committee.

Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth. Heifer does this by providing appropriate livestock, training and related services to small-scale farmers and communities worldwide.

Mission Statement ...

The mission of the Connecticut State Grange Agriculture Committee is to promote excellence in Connecticut agriculture by nurturing interest, education, and recognition of excellence in agriculture throughout Connecticut and by recommending and/or endorsing legislative positions that enhance the future of Connecticut's Agriculture.

Adopted by the Agriculture Committee of the Connecticut State Grange on May 21, 2003.
