| APRIL 9, 2010 -- The University of Connecticut's College of Agriculture and Natural Resource's Animal Science Department will hold its Annual Spring Horse Auction and Tack & Equipment Tag Sale, Saturday, April 24, at the Horsebarn Hill Arena at the Storrs campus. The horse preview starts at 10, horse auction begins at 1, and the tag sale will take place all day in the Horsebarn Hill Arena beginning at 9. Items expected to be sold at the tag sale are listed on the sale web site. Link below.
In addition to UConn horses entered in the auction, a few select consignments horses along with horses from the Connecticut Department of Agriculture Equine Rescue Program will be added to the auction. To date, there are 40 horses entered and two horses up for adoption.
Proceeds will be used to fund the UConn Equine Program.
The auction is organized exclusively by UConn's Animal Science students under faculty/staff supervision.
