MAY 5, 2025 -- Easter activities were hoppin’ at Wallingford Grange this past month. First, many thanks goes out to Molly, an animal sciences student in Lyman Hall High School’s vo-ag program, and her advisor for helping some young, potential rabbit owners understand how to care for their bunnies, and to the rabbit Paws for being such a good ambassador of the species.

Apr News from Nutmeg Pomona No. 16
APRIL 15, 2025 -- I can’t say line up your candidates this month in the Granger because next week will be the Fifth Degree conferral. Harmony Grange was paying attention and has said they have 7 candidates. That sure makes conferring the Degree worthwhile. Hope we have some from other Granges.

Townwide Tag Sale Breakfast & Lunch |

It is often said that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure. On Saturday, May 31st, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., the Wallingford Grange will be hosting a town wide tag sale! Interested bargain hunters can pick up maps at the Wallingford Grange starting at 7 a.m. on May 31st and visit the tables at the Grange to start. In addition to the tag sale, if you’re interested in just stopping by for a good meal, the Grange will have a pancake breakfast and meatball sub luncheon this day as well. |

Join us twice a month at the Wallingford Grange Hall where you can do the craft of your choice and stay for the socialization, or we can teach you how to piece a quilt. These gatherings are open to all! You don’t have to be a grange member or a quilter to join. Quilts of Valor Program offers comforting quilts to veterans of all wars. The program is continuing to work towards making more finished quilts for now and in the future. Youth Owl Pellet Dissection |
 |
An event for ages 8-15! Participants will have the opportunity to be scientist and explore the world of animal biology by dissecting an owl pellet. Owls are unable to digest the fur and bones of their prey, which they usually swallow whole. The indigestible parts are regurgitated in the form of an owl pellet! The number of owl dissection kits is limited to 20 participants. Because of this, one must register online through Zeffy at the link below. |
