Spring so far is a busy time for us. In March we hosted Nutmeg Pomona. We held two fund raising dinners on March 22nd and April 5th. As always, a good membership turnout to work on the dinners. We continue to support our local food bank and offer our hall twice a week to a Cheshire AA group. We have had our organizational meeting for our 140th Cheshire Grange Community Fair the last full weekend in August. One of our key meetings on April 2nd was our Community Citizen of the Year Award. This year we honored Arnett Talbot for her thirty plus years serving the town in the Town Manager’s office and other volunteering work.
Cheshire Grange presented its 2025 Community Citizen of the Year award to Arnett Talbot at their April 2nd meeting. Ms. Talbot was recognized for her 30 plus years serving the town of Cheshire in the Town Manager’s office. She was Cheshire’s Assistant Town Manager for many years. She also is involved as a volunteer in many local organizations along with some charity work. The guest speaker for the evening was Town Manager, Sean Kimball. A reception followed the program.
