| FEBRUARY 10, 2025 -- The New Year has started off well with some fantastic new events! Our first Wascal Wednesday play date was a success! Little kids ages 2-5 got their energy out with a ton of balloons and then got crafty in making their own snowmen. Special thanks to the six families for coming out in this cold to join us! Also special thanks to Wallingford Grange members Tim and Stephanie Fengler for organizing this activity! Save the date for our next Wascal Wednesday event on Wednesday, February 12th!
A Reiki and singing bowl meditation class was also hosted at Wallingford Grange in January. It was well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks for coming and thanks to Toni and Barbara for leading us through the session. The first monthly Chess Nerds meet-up was also fun with people of all ages coming out to play chess. Chess Nerds meet- ups, that are open to people with all skill ranges from beginner to expert, will continue to occur throughout the year on every first Saturday of the month at 9am-11am. Quilts of Valor, who just celebrated their 1st year anniversary as a group, will continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 6:30pm throughout the year to complete more comforting quilts to veterans of all wars.
In February and March, some special community events Wallingford Grange is looking forward to having include a Book Folding Event (February 5th - 6pm-8pm), Pancake Breakfast (February 12th – 8:30am-11am), History and Flavors of Maple Syrup Event hosted by the Miller Sugar House (February 25th - 6pm- 8pm), Sourdough Educational Event (March 6th - 6pm-8pm), and Cake Decorating Event (March 20th - 6:30pm-8pm).
