It is time to submit your Subordinate or Pomona Grange for either the Lecturer’s Appreciation Award or the Honor Lecturer’s Award. These awards recognize outstanding contributions to our Grange community at the community/subordinate and Pomona levels of our State Grange, honoring those who have shown exceptional dedication and leadership and are presented recognitions at our upcoming Connecticut State Grange Convention at the Norwich Holiday Inn on Friday, October 18th, at the 7:00 PM Celebration Banquet. Here are the details for you to submit a nomination:

Lecturer’s Appreciation Award: This award is given to a member who has demonstrated significant support and appreciation for the Grange’s educational pro- grams and initiatives.

CRITERIA for Community and Pomona Granges:

• Be responsible for a suitable program at every meeting.
• Programs should be as appropriate, up to 30 minutes in length. Cooperate with your Grange Committees.
• Reports to the State Grange Lecturer/Program Director should be submitted on time.
• Submit a request to the Connecticut State Grange Lecturer by September 30th that your Grange has qualified for this award.

Honor Lecturer’s Award: This prestigious award recognizes a Lecturer who has made a remarkable impact through their leadership, programming, and commitment to the Grange’s values.

CRITERIA for Community and Pomona Granges:

• Meet the requirements for the Lecturer’s Appreciation Award listed above.
• Participate in at least 3 additional contests or projects (Heirloom, Photo, Complete, “Honoring Our Elders,” “A Word from Home,”
• or “Initiate a New Program.”
• Submit a Grange in Action or a Golden Grange in Action nomination to National Grange and copy the Connecticut State Grange Lecturer.

Submit a request to the Connecticut State Grange Lecturer by September 30th that your Grange Lecturer has qualified for this award.

To submit a nomination, please send me a request (either email or letter is acceptable) detailing which of the two awards you qualify for and the criteria you completed to qualify.
