We held our monthly meeting on Apr. 11 on Zoom to discuss logistics, set up, etc for line dance event on Friday, April 12, Sustainable CT donations and plans, community service, our May meeting, and our annual agricultural fair on June 8th. April 12 - Friday - Line Dancing event with FREE chili and cornbread If you were there, you know what a good time everyone had! Our first Line Dance event with free chili and cornbread was a HUGE success with 45+ community members enjoying the chili and dancing up a storm until 8:30. Seeing our upper level filled with people engaged in music and dancing was wonderful. Grange members pitched in to make chili and/or cornbread, set up the dining area, serve guests, collect donations and man our membership table. We are even going to send out a short survey via Google Forms to our guests to see what we can do better. The survey will be a first for us so we will see how it goes. Special thanks go out to the Simsbury Public Library for partnering with us to register dancers, Teen volunteers from Simsbury High School, Mary Root for teaching and entertaining us and all of the grange members for their time and effort.
