Mar News from Glastonbury Grange No. 26

By Kathryn Ruff

  MARCH 5, 2024 --

March 7: Wearing of the Green 7:30

p.m. Ref. Priscilla Schmartz and Ann Posuniak

March 21: 7:00 p.m. Social Evening, Free Seed Packet give away. Public invited.

Glastonbury Grange is very happy to report that we have a new member. At our February 1st meeting the Obligation Ceremony welcomed our new member, Phillip Crump. Hopefully in the next 6 months we will be able to bring in 2 or 4 more new members.

March 21st will be our 4th Social Event, where the public is invited. We will hold a class on how to start a garden. Teach how to prepare your seed packets for planting them in your garden. Beverly and Andy Bell have been able to secure the seed packets for us to be able to pass out the vegetable and flowers seeds. They will be heading up the class.

After all the cold, rain and snow in January I am ready to think about March and the warmer days when you are thinking about working out in a garden.

From our degree work, “the buried seed wakes to life in darkness, and then sends up its germ, seeking Heaven’s sunlight”. I miss hearing the lessons of the four degrees.
