Around The Grange
Jan News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  JANUARY 9, 2024 --

Our December meeting and Christmas Party was a fun evening. Starting with a delicious pot luck supper (spiral ham, two kinds of potatoes, baked macaroni, shrimp cocktail, chili, vegetables and dessert). The blessing was offered by Woodbury Baptist Minister Peter Ventura.

Supper was followed by a short meeting and then some fun. The program included a game of “Nickles” which was enjoyed by everyone especially the winners Ron Gunter and Peter Ventura. The grab bag ended the program.

Our members were happy to receive first place in the Community Service and the check for $100.00.

Our next meeting is January 12th – program “Pears” in charge of the CWA Committee – Marianne Neilsen, Ron Gunther, John Taylor and Pat Fischer. Bob Sendewicz is in charge of refreshments. We will be meeting in the lower hall during the month of January and February on the third Saturday at 2 o’clock.. This follows our monthly tag sale and open mic. from 9 to 3.

We have started working on our 135th anniversary celebration to be held in June.

While you are making your New Year’s resolution why not include the Grange. For the stay-at-home members plan to attend one or two meetings. Be realistic – make it a resolution you can keep. We would love to see you.
