We are sorry to report the death of Paul Penley. When Paul was our Steward he organized our Steward’s closet so there was a place for everything and everything is now always in its place. He will be sadly missed.
Our annual Halloween party was its usual pandemonium, but oh, so much fun. A new game this year was a scavenger hunt to find the parts of two large skeletons. The green team won but the purple team was not far behind. The children bowled for candy corn, fed Frankie, played musical mats and so much more. There were prizes for costumes and for the games; then everyone enjoyed the refreshments and the cup social downstairs.
Please note the date change for caroling this year. Barring rain (or gasp!! snow) we will show up on Monday night with fruit baskets and song. Santa will fly in for our Christmas party. Please bring the children (and a wrapped gift with their name clearly written on it for Santa’s bag). And if those dratted leaves that insist on covering the driveway would just blow away by themselves, next time we will tell you all about nice November.
