Nov. 24: No meeting - Happy Thanksgiving
Our first meeting in September had to be cancelled due to that nasty Covid guy visiting some of our members. Sue’s program at our September 22 meeting taught us a great deal about early exploration; and a pop quiz taught some of us that we should have paid better attention in American History 101.
On November 10 we will be learning more about Plymouth and the Pequot war. The Pequots lived in our area and the Mashantuckets have a wonderful museum depicting their early life. It is well worth a visit.
We send get well and thinking of you wishes to our members who are “under the weather”. We miss you. And if my column doesn’t “vanish” again, which it has a deplorable tendency to do, next time we will tell you all about outstanding October.
