Sep News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  SEPTEMBER 5, 2023 --

First, I would like to thank all my Grange friends for the beautiful Happy Birthday and Thinking of You cards. The birthday wasn’t very happy as I was in the hospital. Special thanks to Barbara Robert for her meals on wheels. I am now home and recuperating.

I missed our Grange meeting and picnic as well. Can’t remember when I missed a meeting. Thanks to all the members who took over. Don’t know who all of them were, but I will find out.

Also, thanks to Jane and Ruel Miller for bringing all our contest entries to Celebration Day and for all the good news. Pat Fischer placed first in the “Tea Cup Contest” and Joanne Cipriano placed second in the “Let’s Make a Snowman” contest and first in the Northeast Needlework Contest - Plastic Canvas category.

Upcoming activities- Sept. 8 meeting - program “Aster” Joanne Cipriano in charge and John Taylor in charge of refreshments. September 13th Tag Sale Work Day- September 16th Tag Sale and Open Mic- September 23 Bake Sale at Wal-Mart and Sept. 24 we host the meeting of Nutmeg Pomona. My goal is to be up and about by then.
