Around The Grange
Jan 2023 News from Taghhannuck Grange No. 100

Jan. 12:  Iran by John Brett, Ref. Brent Prindle

Feb. 9: Winter by Barbara Prindle; Ref. Howard Randall

We divided the EMR scholarship among  the  ambulance  squads  of Cornwall, Sharon and Falls Village according  to  how  many  members took the EMR/EMT course in each town to help them offset their cost. Thank you to Dennis Jasmine who stopped by at our December meeting.         He  graciously  filled  in for  Ruth  Schnell,  our  Overseer, who was ill and could not make the

meeting.

Dictionaries were given out to Cornwall Consolidated School and Sharon Center School 3rd graders. I was a delight to see two very well used dictionaries in a pile of books in the Sharon classroom. Several of the students had older siblings with the same book as we have been doing this for 16 years. The Warren and Kent schools will be getting theirs by the time you read this.

On  Thursday,  January  26th at 1:00PM in our Grange Hall we are having a Krauting Bee in the afternoon offered in conjunction with The Motherhouse Old Style Life-Skills Series of workshops. Come and discover the magical kitchen alchemy of lacto-fermentation.
