Oct 2021 News from Mountain Laurel Pomona No. 15

By Todd Gelineau

  October 4, 2021 --

As of the writing of this article the Degree Day planned by Mountain Laurel was days away on Oct 3. Special thanks go to Peter Keefe and Dawn Anstett (our new Secretary) for working the phones and keyboards to round up the members to fill all of the stations for FIVE degrees! It was a herculean effort, but they got it done.  Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to all of the new members who joined us for the day. We heard from candidates from far and wide and hope they will all be present for the Sixth Degree at State Session later in the month.

As mentioned  above,  we  have a new Secretary as Carol-Jean Swanson has decided to step down as Secretary. As State Secretary, I can tell you she did a FANTASTIC job. I’m sure she doesn’t think so, but she really did.

Thanks, and appreciation also go to Brother Peter Keefe who has become the first Past Master of Mountain Laurel Pomona. Brother Rob Buck has been elected to take the chair.

Sister Lin Erickson of Cawasa Grange also becomes the first Past Lecturer of Mountain Laurel as she retires from that job. She was an excellent Lecturer, but could there be any other kind?
