April 1, 2021 -- Well, in this modern world of zoom meetings, sometimes not all goes as planned. We have to be able to take things in stride when that happens and do our best to persevere. After trying to log in for our Last Regional Meeting in February (and failing), I put my best foot forward and moved on. The CFA committee held a separate meeting to conduct our business and then we held the raffle. The best part of moving forward was the big smile on Pat Tarca when she finally drew the winning ticket and announced the name. We want to give a big shout out to our winner, Daniel Lauttenbach of Wallingford Grange #33. Congratulations! We hope that Daniel really enjoys the basket. We also want to send a huge thank you to everyone who participated in buying raffle tickets. It was greatly appreciated and our committee was able to raise some much-needed funds! We were not sure if it would work and you did it and we thank you!
The Needlework contest will be held on the weekend of August 20-22nd. Some of the highlights for the weekend - it will be held at Hillstown Grange #87. All entries need to be dropped off at the Hall judging for all of the contests and Sunday will be the final event which will include a teacup auction and one of Hillstown Granges Famous Pancake breakfast. We put together a newsletter with a lot of detail with what we hope is a lot of flexibility for all of the different Granges and mailed it out to all of the CFA Chairman which will hopefully answer your questions. We will have more information coming up in future Granger articles as well. Until then continue to stay safe and keep those hands busy.
