Membership News: ... Grow and Retain Membership

By Faith Quinlan, CT State Grange Membership Director

  November 1, 2019 --

It has been my pleasure to lead the Membership Committee this year. This year the Membership Committee has worked with Granges to grow and retain membership. We researched various programs and leaders in the membership growth field. Articles were written for the Connecticut Granger and some of us met with an Advisory Committee at the Big E to brainstorm the best program to launch for 2020.

Membership, with graphic designers, created a new Connecticut State Grange “Who Are We” video that was first presented at the Leaders’ Conference in March.

Thank you to our Worthy Master and the Executive Committee. Thanks to Sister Barbara Prindle for being not only a great teammate but setting a shining example as a membership leader of the Grange.

For the annual membership awards, they are broken into two categories: Net Gain and Largest Number of New Members.

For the Granges with Net Gains:

#3- Granby Grange #5

For the Granges with the Largest Number of New Members:

#3 (Tie)- Taghhannuck #100
