Family Activities News: Harvest of Handicrafts Contest Completed

By Irene Percoski, CT State Grange CWA/Family Activ. Director

  SEPTEMBER 2016 --

Harvest of Handicrafts is over. Some minor bumps were overcome and now it is time to evaluate and plan for next year. Entries, as usual, were outstanding. The talent, imagination and craftsmanship of the people in our Granges just get better every year. My congratulations and profound thanks to everyone who entered.

Thank you one and all for the wonderful response to our contests. The judges were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship that went into your entries. All first place winners will be forwarded on to the Judging at the Big E in September. I have no doubt more ribbons and prize money will be awarded to our entrants there.

Next Year’s contests are being planned already so keep an eye on the Granger for some changes and I hope some surprises.
