| March 5, 2016 -- I want all CWA/Family Activities, Subordinate and Pomona chair people to make sure you make note of all the good works that your respective Community Service committees are doing, and add them to your final reports in September. Each time your Grange does anything to help someone in need is a very big part of our Committee work too. While needlework, baking and crafts is the mainstay of our department, it is not all we do. So please think ahead and then take credit when making your reports.
A list of items asked to be made for the Big E this year include all the usual items, mittens, hats, towels and scubbies. Also asked for are baby sets, afghans, and Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween/Fall items. With winter setting in, now is the time to make that extra item. If you would like to work at the Big E this year now is also the time to plan what days you can be there and if you would like to sell raffle tickets or work at the cash register. Lists of names must be in early. The upstairs rooms will only be open on the weekends so plan accordingly. |
