Around The Grange
September News from Old Lyme Grange

By Barbara C. Kulisch

  SEPTEMBER 8, 2013 --

At our June 28th meeting, a motion was made to start the process of “Surrendering our Charter,” and selling our hall! This was a very sad and difficult evening for our eleven active members who have worked hard to keep us going. As we have a long process ahead of us, we are still holding our regular scheduled meetings and hope to see you all soon.

At our July 12th meeting we welcomed Ted Powell, a member of the State Agriculture Committee, and who also will be installed on September 5th, as Master of Lyme Grange #147. Ted, we here at Old Lyme Grange #162 wish you well and Thank you for your continued presence at our meetings!

Our September 29th SUNDAY afternoon the Open Meeting starts at 2 pm SHARP, which will feature a speaker from the New London Firefighters Burn Unit that helps anyone in the State of Connecticut who has been a burn victum and needs help. We hope that you will join us as we will also be celebrating 380 years of Grange membership that afternoon as well.

Wonder how our August 23rd picnic, meeting and BINGO night went?
