Around The Grange
2013 Youth/Junior Conference in Vermont

By Kendal Holden, Youth Director, Vermont State Grange

  JUNE 6, 2013 --

This year the Youth/ Junior Conference is being held on Friday, June 28, 2013 to Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Vermont State Grange Center in Brookfield, VT. Directions will follow. Sleeping accommodations are in cabins. Please make sure you bring your own bedding and bath towels as none will be provided.

The “Spirit Stick” continues to encourage the Junior /Youth of each State Grange to exemplify their Grange Spirit. As before, Grange Spirit may be the wearing of specific clothing that promotes the Junior/Youth program or by sharing what you do to get the word out about Grange. The host state will provide the judges who will only be revealed on Sunday. As before, the winning state will be awarded the Spirit Stick which they will keep for one year, and must bring said stick the following year to the conference where the cycle begins again.

Friday registration begins at 3:30. Dinner of pizza, salad, and ice cream sundaes begins at 6:00. The agenda tells you how the weekend will unfold.

The Vermont State Grange looks forward to hosting you at our Grange Center.

Fraternally,

Kendal Holden, Youth Director, Vermont State Grange
