Deputies' Corner
Keep up the good work

By Todd Gelineau, General Deputy

  JUNE 4, 2012 --

Inspection season is rolling along fairly smoothly and all of the Deputies join me in thanking the many Secretaries, Treasurers and Lecturers for being so prepared for inspection night.  In many cases, Granges have improved on their work from the previous year.  This is especially the case in several Pomonas as well.  Keep up the good work.

We intentionally have not announced the prize for this year’s ritual challenge as we wanted to settle on a prize that will have a direct impact on Grange growth.  It has been decided that the winner of the 2012 Deputies’ Ritual Challenge will receive a free website (for one year) from the Connecticut State Grange website development program.  The top three Granges will also be recognized at State Session and will be awarded certificates.

I’m sure you’re asking what would happen if the winning Grange already had a website.  As long as they are part of the State Grange program, they will receive free hosting for their site for one year.

A positive web presence is essential for all businesses and organizations (like the Grange) today as it lends legitimacy and provides a place for the general public to learn more about us.  If you would like more information about developing a website through the State Grange program, please contact Terri Fassio at information@ctstategrange.org.  She will be happy to hear from you!

As Inspections are completed the reports are forwarded to me for review and then are sent to the State Master for his review before the cover letter and completed reports are sent back to the individual Granges.  Please contact me or your Deputy if you have any questions about your inspection or would like to receive assistance from the State Grange.
