Honor Grange reports due

By Todd Gelineau, General Deputy

  SEPTEMBER 2, 2011 --

It’s almost time for all Granges to send in their annual Honor Grange reports for 2011.  Unlike previous years, there is no checklist to fill in.  The complete requirements for the program are included in the current edition of the Connecticut State Grange Blue Book.  All Granges should have also received copies of the requirements during the Schools of Instruction held this winter.

To fill out your report, simply go down the list of requirements and write a brief description of how your Grange satisfied that requirement.  Feel free to provide any additional supporting information (i.e. photographs, news articles, posters, brochures, flyers, etc.).

For example:  You are required to have at least one new member for Bronze level and three or more for Gold level.  Provide the names of each of the new members initiated during this year.

List the names of the resolutions your Grange adopted.

Give the dates for your Officer’s Planning Meeting and the meeting your Grange attended as a group.

Name the events your Grange held to satisfy the Community Activity requirement.

These are just a few examples of the requirements that must be met to qualify.  As long as you go down the list in order providing whatever information you feel supports your accomplishment you will have a complete Honor Grange Report.

ALL HONOR GRANGE REPORTS ARE DUE BY SEPTEMBER 15 TO STATE MASTER JODY CAMERON.  Please send early and feel free to contact me at GeneralDeputy@CTStateGrange.org or (860) 626-0326 if you have any questions or need further information.  You can also contact the State Master at 860-564-7614 or at President@CTStateGrange.org.
