The Connecticut and Rhode Island State Granges have announced they will be co-hosting an Old-Fashioned Grange Picnic as part of National Grange Nationwide Gathering Celebration to be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

The picnic will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds, Route 112, Richmond, Rhode Island.

Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Watermelon and Ice Cream will be furnished. Connecticut Grangers to bring snacks and desserts. Rhode Island Grangers to bring sides and salads. The National Grange Nationwide Gathering Celebration is overseen by the National Lecturer’s office, who will be compiling information from the various events for a presentation at the National Grange Convention in  November.  The intent is to build on the energy and enthusiasm that is building within Granges across the country.  Granges across the country will be holding special events bringing Granges and Grangers together within their communities.
