| DECEMBER 4, 2010 -- It’s a new Grange year and some changes are in store for the Lecturer’s Department.
Our complete programs have been a big help in sharing information for other Lecturers. Starting in January some of these programs will be included on the State Grange’s Web page. And starting with the 2011 Grange year, those entering this contest will not only have to present this program at their own Grange, they will have to bring it to another Grange. Let’s bring back the idea of neighboring with other Granges near and far.
Let’s Celebrate will now be combined with Grange Sunday. It will be held on June 12 at Cheshire Grange Hall. Entries for the Photo contest will be judged on Sat. June 11. On Sunday, both the CWA contests and the Photo Contest winners will be on display before and after the Church Service. Our new Youth Committee will continue the tradition of a lasagna dinner. The entertainment for Let’s Celebrate will be our Talent and “A Number” runoffs. (Any other committee wanting to participate should contact either Pat Palmer or myself so we can plan accordingly.)
Christmas is coming. Snow will be falling. Why not plan ahead for the Photo Contest. The categories will be the same. The only difference is that a Best in Show will be awarded, and that Photo will go to National Session in Oklahoma next November.
