August’s meeting was a picnic held at Pres. Joann Cipriano’s home. The Hall can be uncomfortably warm this time of year, and Joann’s shady yard and newly cleaned out and cool garage was a pleasant venue for the event. Food shared, games played, and fun all around. Planning for next year’s Anniversary & Citizen Award event has started.
September’s meeting will be back at the Hall and by then the evenings should be getting cooler. It’s already noticeable that sunset is earlier. The Lecturer’s program will be on the Letter D. October begins a new annual theme, and our programs in 2026-2027 will all feature different holidays.
As always, our Tag Sales are held on 3rd Saturdays from 9 to 2, and the popular Open Mic is held on the same day (3rd Saturdays) from 2 to 5, are open to the public. Performers of all music genres and even poetry and comedy acts come and fill the hall with joyful noise. It can be loud, though, discrete hearing protection is advised.
