| JULY 8, 2026 -- Surprise! Surprise! The members of Beacon Valley were sure surprised that 48 came to help us celebrate our 137th anniversary. Not surprised that they came but the thermometer registered 93 degrees – a good night to stay home in the air conditioning. We appreciate State Secretary Todd Gelineau coming and helping in presenting of certificates to our members – 70 years to Barbara Kirk, 50 years to Robert Brush and 45 years to Kimberly Tompkins Barbara’s niece and nephew and 45 years to Ronald Gunther.
Unable to attend were Patricia Bisson who resides in Flora, Victor Godin and Terri Tully.
He also presented a plaque to our Community Citizen Louise Sheedy. Mayor Pete Hess was present and presented a proclamation from Naugatuck to her also.
Other State Officers present were: Vice-President Ted Powell and wife Stephanie, Chaplain Charles Dimmick, Ceres Jane Miller and Ruel Miller a member of the Executive Committee.
In keeping with our year’s theme, the alphabet, everything on the program, the Country Store and refreshments began with the letter C. Our next meeting is July 10th and will be our Officers Planning Night.
Our next tag sale is July 18th from 9 to 2 – Open Mic same date.
