We welcomed Todd Gelineau to our September meeting and as is our custom immediately asked him to fill a station. In this case he was Steward for the night. He also performed the Welcoming Ceremony as we brought Debbie Manasse into our Grange as a new member in good standing. The program that evening was Installation of Officers. Most members continued in the same office they now hold. Todd installed our two new officers. Lynn Cline is now our Overseer and Ruth Schnell is our new Flora. We completed the collection of G-notes from our members and 120 G-notes were given to Todd to help with the expenses at State Session.

We had a Grange Booth at the Cornwall Agricultural Fair on Saturday, September 13th on the Cornwall Green. Our “bubbles” drew both kids and adults. This gave us a chance to explain what our Grange does. The most interest was caught by our two loose leaf books. One showed photos of all the Community Service activities we held during the year and the other held copies of all the Resolutions that were brought to State Grange Session in the past two years showing what passed and what didn’t.

Everyone is invited on September 20th at either 1PM or 6PM to the barn at Local Farm on Popple Swamp Road in Cornwall, Ct. Come see one of our members, Margaret Hopkins and her Chalk Gremlins troupe perform an aerial show.

You are also invited to our October 9th Halloween Costume Party (Our usual Grange night). Please try to come in costume as the Hall turns into a Halloween experience.
