What a great thing to be back to
in-person meetings after a winter of Zoom meetings! Our program was called ‘A Mad, Mad World’. We heard about Danbury, CT as the hat capital of the world, home of the Danbury Shakes; illness due to mercury poisoning from exposure during the felting process in hat making. We played a game of MadLibs. How many of us are old enough to remember that silly fill-in the blank game from our childhood?
We worked on 2 resolutions
submitted. It’s not too early to start writing resolutions.
Our summer community service projects are firmed up.. Come buy our treasures at the tag sale at Strong Family Farm on June 7th. We will be collecting gently used garden tools for donation to community gardeners in need.
Our doors are always open to visitors. At our May 2 meeting, come sample the entries in our CWA cake baking contest!
