Around The Grange
Colchester member gives back to town
  OCTOBER 2009 --

For several years there was no gate in the Marlborough Cemetery.  When Bob Paris inquired he was told it was “down at the Town Garage and had been for some 10 years at least.”  It was all “rotted out.”  A new gate was needed and Mr. Paris decided to repair it.

Along came Jeff Watson, owner of JRW Construction of Colchester and Jeff’s carpenter Glenn Tuck to assist Bob Paris.  Working together they volunteered to construct a new fence in Paris’ garage.  It took about 1-1/2 years to complete and was a community effort.  Besides Jeff’s time and labor he and Bob donated the paint and hung the gate.

When you travel on Route 66 in Marlborough you can’t help but notice this sparkling new gate!  Say a little prayer of thanks to all and to our Jeff Watson, another good Granger doing what Grangers are supposed to do!
