July 9, 2022 -- Finally, after not being able to celebrate our anniversary for two years we were able to hold our 133rd anniversary celebration on June 10th. When it was time to send out invitations, Naugatuck’s COVID numbers were high so it was decided to have a scaled-down version.
We had 18 of our own members present plus 10 visitors. Charles Dimmick, State Chaplain, presented membership certificates to: 50 Year Golden Sheaf to Diane Godin and Marilyn Ventura; 70 year seal to Paul Miller and Joanne Cipriano; 65 year seal to Barbara Kirk, 55 years to Frank Behlman, 45 years to Victor Godin, 40 years to Shirley Koslosky and Ron Gunther and 30 years to Timothy Meehan.
Complete Care at Glendale was the recipient of our Citizen of the Year Award. They were present with a certificate and paperweight plus a huge basket of bingo prizes and 120 Fourth of July favors made by Jean Meehan.
CT State Grange Public Relations Co-Director, Robert Charbonneau provided the music for the meeting and Beacon Valley’s Home Band entertained us. They plat at all our Open Mics held on the third Saturday of each month from 2 to 5. Tag Sales the third Saturday of each month from 9 to 3.
Our August meeting on the 12th will be our picnic with supper to be served at 6 o’clock.
