| APRIL 29, 2022 -- Our next meeting of Riverton Grange #169 is one week from tonight on Friday, May 6th, at 7:30 PM at the Riverton Grange Hall. The Youth/Junior Committee comprised of Dawn Anstett and Rod Anstett are responsible for the program titled “Why Youth are the Future of Grange”. Refreshments will be provided by Bill & Tillie Jackson starting at 6:45 PM. I hope you can all attend in person. Please let me know if you need a Zoom link. Secretary Dawn will send out the draft minutes from our April 1st meeting for you to review.
Please remember that our next Veteran of the Month Ceremony at the Barkhamsted Senior Center is scheduled for this Sunday, May 1st, at 6:00 PM. The American flag will be retired for Cold War veteran John Yacawych and the American flag will be raised for WWII veteran Edward Sweeney, father of Tim Sweeney, Commander of Riverton American Legion Post #159.
Finally, Winchester Grange is holding a Neighbors Night, with a Pot Luck supper, on Tuesday, May 10, at 7:00 PM. They have invited our members to join them and their theme is Mother’s Day. They hope we can attend in person, but a Zoom link will be available too. Please RSVP to Winchester Grange Lecturer Ramona Fassio at lecturer@winchestergrange.org if you can attend.
There will be a Special Degree Day hosted by Mountain Laurel Pomona on Saturday, May 14, at 4:00 pm at Winchester Grange. If you are interested in taking this degree, please let us know.
