Around The Grange
March 2022 News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  March 8, 2022 --

For many years the opening song of our Anniversary Program has been “Dear Hearts and Gentle People.” Recently we lost two of our members who had “dear hearts” and were “gentle people.” Charles Curtiss, an 81-year member of our Grange. Charles was always interested in agriculture.

Also, Joan Ziegler who only joined our Grange when Redding Grange

#15 initially closed. She was a long- time Granger and a dear friend to many of our members. We were proud to have her as a member, if only for a very short time.

Upcoming Meetings - March 11 program in charge of Judi Reynolds. When the late Carole Mancini was in charge of refreshments, we always had grilled cheese sandwiches so in her memory we will have grilled cheese sandwiches.

April 8th our theme is “What Do You Collect?” So, bring something for show and tell. Refreshments will be in the charge of Tracy Marsala.

We will resume Open Mic on Saturday, March 19th from 6 to 9

and our Tag Sale will be the same day from 9 to 3.
