We are happy to report that North Stonington Agricultural Fair, held on our grounds July 8-11, was very successful with excellent attendance even though Friday’s fair had to be canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Plans for next year’s Fair, scheduled for July 14-17 are already underway.
On July 16 the temperature and humidity made meeting in our upstairs hall extremely uncomfortable. After a great deal of business was discussed and settled it was generally agreed that the program for the evening could be postponed to a later, cooler, date and we all returned to our air-conditioned homes with a take-out game to while away the hours.
Our new officers will be installed on September 10th. Come and visit on the 24th and see what Sue has in store for us. And if this strange bird disease will just leave us so we can begin feeding them again, next time we will tell you about awesome August.
