Apr. 23: Honoring Members

On February 26 we were very happy to be able to meet for the first time since October 30. Of course, we all wore our masks and Steward Jeff Barnes, made sure our stations were six feet apart; but we held a meeting! Of course there was a great deal of business to come before us. We were able to address several requests for the use of the grounds and make some important donations.  Due  to  the  plethora of business Sue’s program had to be abbreviated; but she passed out some very good information about heart health, cardiovascular disease and eating a balanced, heart-healthy diet.

Sue tells us to bring something old to our April 9th meeting and be prepared to talk about it. this sounds like an interesting program and we hope you will come and enjoy. We voted to cancel our Community Citizen this year as the program usually brings out a large crowd and we would be unable to follow COVID guidelines. We will be honoring longtime members in April, however. And if the forecast frigid temperatures don’t nip my emerging daffodils, next time we’ll tell you all about merry March.
