April 2021 News from Senexet Grange No. 40

Apr. 18: Composting for Beginners

Apr. 21: Distracted Driving

We have held our regular meetings with masks and social distancing. Our February meeting was American Heart Health. We enjoyed a healthy   dinner of vegetables and chicken and vegetables with turkey kielbasa before our meeting. We discussed the leading causes of heart disease including obesity, diabetes, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise alcohol. We held several fund raising meals including a take-out soup dinner and a Shepherd’s pie dinner. We are gaining some interest from members of the community and hopefully they will join. These great meals were organized by Amy Monahan and had many advance reservations. This makes it so much easier to plan. At our soup dinner we sold out shortly after the starting time. This was exciting for us.

We will be holding classes on quilting and crocheting and knitting. In advance the interest seems to be very positive. We will continue to hold open house on every Thursday from 1-5 PM with games, books, crafts and coffee. So many in the community are interested in getting together now that the weather is better and the Covid vaccines are being done.

We have plans for breakfast with the Easter Bunny is planned.

We are still working on getting the hall ready for larger groups.

We hope that all will stay well.
