Around The Grange
February 2021 News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  February 14, 2021 --

As Master, I would like to assure our members that even though we are  not  meeting  formally  everything possible is being done to keep our Grange up-to-date  and  ready to go back to meeting as soon as government guidelines permit. All bills have been paid and on time by Treasurer Ron Fischer. All reports have been made and also on time. The officers have been contacted when their help is needed and the hall is checked almost daily thanks to Ron, Gary and Frank.

Medical report- As of today 12-14-21 Assistant Steward Tom Honyotski was diagnosed with COVID-19 and Secretary Cindy Legg had a second fall and is in Abbott Terrace Health Center.

Sadly, we offer our sincere sympathies to Ellen and William Brush on the passing of their daughter Beatrice.

We also offer our sympathies to Sue Gray and family on Russell’s passing. Russ was a good friend to all Grangers.

Personally, I have been doing what we are told and staying home. On March 14th, on my way over to Cheshire Grange to pick-up corned beef dinners, I filled my car with gas. Since that date I have used one-half tank of gas.  That cost me

$18.00. I normally use that amount in a week. My sister and I have been playing it safe and staying home.
