Feb. 8: Beets –Richard

March 14: Peas - Irene

December was a truly busy month.  We delivered 52 afghans and lap tops to two of our  area nursing facilities. They will be used as Christmas presents to patients who have no family or visitors. Next, a sewing marathon to make 18 totes from old t-shirts. We also purchased fleece yardage to make 18 scarfs, then filled the bags with personal items and cold weather gear. These bags were then given to the Enfield and East Windsor Police departments to give out to homeless people. We made a donation to the Enfield Beautification Committee to purchase two flags in memory of past members who were veterans, Brian Carpenter and Russell Ballard. These flags will fly with many others that will be placed along Enfield St. (RT. 5) and RT. 190 from Memorial Day through Veteran’s Day. Dawn presented a program on cranberries along with games that had everyone laughing. Our Christmas Cookie exchange was wonderful, we all got to take home a box of different cookies, then for lunch we had home-made pea soup and Cranberry pie. Come visit.
