Around The Grange
December 2018 News for Beacon Valley Grange

By Joanne Cipriano

  DECEMBER 7, 2018 --

Our schedule for December:  December 8th we host the meeting and Christmas party of the Southern Connecticut Past Masters, December 14th- BVG’s meeting and Christmas Party- potluck supper at 6:00 followed by the meeting.  Program by Lecturer Judi Reynolds is titled “Winter Christmas – Hanukkah.”  We will have a $5 grab bag.  December 15th- Open Mic.

On November 3 we had our Craft, Bake and Tag Sale.  As Master, I can’t thank the members enough for all they did to make it a real success.  I now you shouldn’t name names but some really did an outstanding job.  David Knapp and Ron Fischer with publicity, Cindy Legg selling raffle tickets, Pat Fischer with all she made for the sale and Judi Reynolds and Tracey Marsala for taking care of the Tag Sale.  Others who also assisted were:  Joann Muscillo, Delores Merancy, Ray Legg and Sharon Finnimore.

Ron Fischer oversees the Open Mic which we have the third Saturday of each month. Good music and snacks.

Our Overseer and Treasurer Ron Fischer was honored on May 3 with the Robert L. Genovese Award for Patriotism.  This award was presented at the Nauguatuck American Legion by the Naugatuck High School Alumni.  Congratulations, Ron.

Zack Koslosky the son of long time Grangers Shirley Koslosky and grandson of Barbara Kirk has been making the headlines in the paper lately for his efforts as a member of the Naugatuck High School football team.  Many of us attended the Naugatuck High School and like to keep track of our high school sports teams especially Grange family members.

Keep up the good work Zack.
