November 2018 News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  November 12, 2018 --

Our members are still busy. September 15th we had a tag sale and open mic the weekend of September 28- 30. We had a clothing drive at the hall which netted us a nice profit while other members were manning a table at Naugatuck’s Fall Festival. On October 7 we will have a bake sale at Wal-Mart.

On November 3 we will have a craft, bake and tag sale. So far we have 10 vendors. Could use a couple more. Grangers will be given a special rate.

To relax we had two card nights. These are fun – come and join us.

Our November meeting is on the 9th- program in charge of Lecturer Judi Reynolds is entitled “Veteran’s Day – Thanksgiving”. Joanne Cipriano is in charge of refreshments. On the 23rd we will be decorating the hall for the holidays.

We will have an open mic on Saturday, Nov. 17th from 2 to 5.

Our Grange was saddened by the death of Past Lecturer Barbara Paonessa. Barbara and husband Roger were very active members until they moved to New Hampshire.
