  March 12, 2018 --

March 1: Program: Raising Backyard Chickens

March 15: Business Meeting

March 24: Silent Movie Night

April 19: Program: Wine-Making at Home

The bitter cold weather in the early New Year brought problems with our well pump at our historic Grange Hall. With our pump service vendor and two of our members’ assistance, Doug Shepherd and Don Offinger, we were able to overcome the problems with heat and water.

We extend our condolences to Billie Sue & Dale Hollingsworth on the recent passing of Billie Sue’s mom.

In a few weeks’ time we will be hosting several informative programs in our Healthy Living series of topics. Back by popular demand and in conjunction with the Ridgefield Discovery Center, we will be co-hosting the program on raising backyard chickens. Bil Mikulewicz will lead the audience in a lively and interactive discussion of his journey with raising and nurturing chickens at his home.

Our annual evening of silent movies with live piano music takes place on Saturday evening, March 24th. Tickets are $5 per person. The evening will be four features of Laurel & Hardy with promises of hilarity and a very good time. John Mucci will be at the piano. Doors open at 7 PM, and the first film rolls at 7:30 PM.

Mid-April will present John Kriz with a fascinating program on making wine at home. John has produced wine from not only grapes, but also fruit such as elderberry.

One of our local Brownie troops meets at our Hall once a month and we are glad for them to call our Hall their home.

Visiting Patrons are always welcome, won’t you join us?
