November News from Killingly Grange No. 112

By Glenna Bruno

  November 15, 2017 --

On Sunday, Sept. 24 we held a business meeting at 3 P.M. The installation of officers at Killingly Grange #112 was performed by Jeff Barnes, Installing Officer, Deborah Barnes, Assistant Steward/Regalia, Patricia Valys, Emblem Bearer, and Jaimie Cameron. All went off without a hitch. Thank you all. It was good work.

Master Eleanor Davis was absent and was recuperating from an illness. We hope she will be up and about soon. Also Bruce, our Assistant Steward, has been hospitalized and in rehab. for several weeks. As of this writing, he is back home. Get well Bruce.

Our Turkey Dinner (2nd Weds. Of Sept.) was a success thanks to Pat Valys. We served at least 40 people.

We held our Grange Fair and it was a success considering we hadn’t done one in a while. Sue Griffith was a big help. Thanks Sue. We do need to update our system. Thanks to all who participated and helped. Big thank you to Gert Blain who took in all entries. Bluegrass shows were held in October.
