November News from Harmony Grange No. 92

By George Ward

  November 9, 2017 --

Nov. 10: Regular Meeting 7:30, Refreshments at 6:30, Lecturer’s Program to be announced later

Harmony Grange will have its Christmas Fair on Dec. 2, 2017, 9:00 to 2:00 at the Grange Hall on Hurd Avenue. The hall is accessible on Hurd Avenue but Hurd Avenue cannot be reached directly from Route 110. Hurd Avenue can be reached using roads mentioned in the October issue of the Granger under Harmony Grange. On sale will be many Christmas items as well as other items from the attic. Food will be available. A member has found the recipe for colonial soup. She has suggested the following article be printed in the Granger to further the interest in our Fair.

(Since all Granges are a living vital part of our country’s agricultural history; and to honor this fact Harmony Grange 92 is serving an historical colonial soup as part of our annual Christmas Fair luncheon menu. We will be serving a vegetable soup dating from colonial times updated to be both vegan and gluten free to meet modern dietary needs and trends. Come join us on December 2, 2017 to partake of some delicious soup and celebrate our agricultural present and past.)

Harmony Grange has a new potential member to be voted on and do the Welcoming Ceremony at our November meeting. Harmony Grange welcomes everyone to visit us and we wish all a Happy Thanksgiving as they celebrate with relatives and friends.
