July 14: Meeting Omitted- It’s Fair Time!

July 21: “In For a Penny, In For a Pound”

At our May 12th program Christopher Cleland from American Senior Benefits, gave us some timely advice on insurance and retirement. On the 26th we remembered our three sisters who passed away this year with a lovely candlelight ceremony. The Memorial Day Parade was rained out so no fl oat this year; but our Hall was host to the town’s Memorial Day service. We also hosted the North Stonington Education Foundation’s annual road race fundraiser. We cooked hundreds of hamburgers and hot dogs for the runners and volunteers.

It’s July and that means it’s time for the North Stonington Agricultural Fair. The dates are July 13-16 this year. Lots of animals, food, crafts, entertainment, pulls, contests, games and fun are on hand, so don’t miss it. And if these rain clouds would just go away and let a little sun shine through, next time I’ll tell you about jolly June.
