We learned that one of our Golden Sheaf members, Genevieve Saunders, passed away in late December at age 91. Gen was our oldest living member at the time of her passing. She had begun her Grange journey in Cannon’s Juvenile Grange and met her future husband, Art Saunders, at Cannon Grange. Appropriately, we have draped our charter.
Additional new members have been welcomed at Cannon Grange over the recent month: Carole Gilliam, Kara Shepherd, Tina Georgeou and daughter Lauren. Karten, Tina and Lauren have been active participants for many years at our annual Agricultural Fairs. Lauren has been the reigning champ in the Watermelon-eating contest for several years in a row. |
