February News from Killingly Grange

  February 20, 2017 --

Feb. 25: Meeting, 2 P.M., Grange Hall

Mar. 25: Revised Schedule

Happy New Year! Wow! Who knew? Still having breakfasts 8:30 A.M. – 11 A.M. Meetings on Saturday afternoon 2 P.M., 4th Sat. until April. Call Master Eleanor Davis or Lecturer Glenna Bruno for more information. Also, 4th Sat. Bluegrass.

The Christmas potluck, gift giving and Yankee swap was well attended after a short business meeting and a nativity tableau, with farmer member Gert Blain as Mary, David Griffith as King, Eleanor Davis as Shepherd and Ann Duval as the Angel. Guess we forgot Joseph, or maybe David was both. A Christmas poem and history of Christmas was read by Lecturer. Also a note from our member in Texas, Mikel Fisk, sending us greetings.

Recently, past master Patricia Valys and present master Eleanor Davis along with member Gert Blain, presented a 75 year certificate to Dorothy Smith who is presently residing at Westview Rehab. Center. Dorothy started out as a member of other local Granges… South Killingly being one and ended at Killingly Grange #112. Killingly presently has at least five members who have belonged to the Grange for 50 years or more.
