November News from Oxford Grange

Nov. 4: Election Time Crazies

Nov. 18: Thanksgiving Potluck Supper, 7:00 PM

Hall rentals have raised enough money to put the Grange in a good position with winter coming. It was decided not to hold the Small Business Fair this fall, as the Democratic Town Committee had a fundraiser in mid-October and it appeared they had many of our fair vendors. We thought another such event would be redundant in early November. Preparatory work will be continuing on the handicapped ramp for the hall until the frost sets in and the ground freezes. We are looking forward to getting our new members active in the organization and will be planning fundraisers to further our work in town. Look forward to the Open Mic program to be held monthly at this point. By the time you read this, State Session will have come and gone with all the delegate work behind us, so we can only anticipate the future of the Pomona Grange in Connecticut as this goes to press. On October 2, Excelsior Pomona #7 celebrated 125 years of existence with yours truly as the current Master. It was a nice afternoon enjoyed by all 45 present.
