Around The Grange
October News from Simsbury Grange

By Susan Masino

  October 6, 2016 --

If you read this before September 17th - come on over to our Fair from 10- 3! Live music from Bill Benson, a NEW Lemonade Garden and a NEW special area for junior vendors! A free welcome bag full of swag is waiting for the first 150 attendees. And anyone who completes an on-site map-guided scavenger hunt will be rewarded with a free game or hayride. If you missed it, our fair next year will be September 16th from 10-3.

Our next meeting is October 12 at 7 pm and our next event this fall is electronic recycling, October 29th, from 9-12 on Hopmeadow St. Visit our website for www.simsburygrange.org for more information. If you have any extra seed packets we are accepting any and all donations to support our “Read and Seed” Little Free Library. Any and all leftovers are welcome for distribution next spring to community gardeners with limited income.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY: We have a new T-shirt design that we are excited to showcase at our fair. A limited number will be available for sale at cost during and after the fair. We worked with Mike Warner at Monroe Classic, Inc. Monroe Classic, Inc. took over most Grange “wearables” and our Grange can vouch for their patience and personal service. The design is suitable for ANY Grange and has the official 150th logo on the back. With a large order it can be as little as $10 per shirt for quality 100% cotton. We hope to be wearing them next time we see you!
