July News From Killingly Grange

By Glenna Bruno

  JULY / AUGUST 2016 --

Killingly Grange #112 held its regular meeting May 2 with 11 members present. Joan Perry, Master of Senexet, filled in as Assistant Steward.

The Blueberry Muffin Contest and the Hat Contest were brought up. So get your recipes and craft stuff out and put something together to enter. Our Pauley Shed is continuing and earning a good amount which our Grangers don’t have to work so hard for each month.

Our telephone, cell phones or land lines was discussed and tabled. Still undecided.

The Pomona designation for our members of Pomona #2 was discussed. Have a choice of New London #6 or East Central Pomona #3.

A yard sale is coming up was discussed with David Griffith to head it up. More on that later. Keep tuned.

Our breakfast times were not as successful as we had hoped but we found that a “jug” donation brought in more than a set price. The Bluegrass later in the evening was quite successful. We did well financially for the day. Bluegrass is now off for the summer. Mother’s Day and May Baskets were discussed. Everyone had a nice story to tell about May Baskets. A sad thing of the past.
