| SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 -- Where has the summer gone. Here I am typing up an article for the September issue of the Granger.
Glastonbury will meet September 3rd at 7:30 p.m. It will be Installation of Officers. Refreshments are “Pot Luck Dessert”. This sounds interesting. Fall Grange activities are beginning. Our Monte Carlo Whist Card Parties begin October 10th. Put that date on your calendar and bring a friend or two with you.
We also have something new on our calendar of activities. Oct. 3rd a Foodless, Bakeless Sale. Hope everyone can help us with this fundraiser.
I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news but as I am typing this article we are short on income this year. Our expenses remain the same and the income is down. WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. I will give you the dates for our November and December card parties. November 14th and December 12th.
Have you thought of any neighbor or relative that might like to join the Grange? We do need some new members. There was a time when our membership was way over 100. It is now down to 50. Give serious thoughts to who we could contact to become a member. You can give the name and address to me, Kay Ruff, Secretary 860-315-5336 and I would gladly contact the prospective member.
