JULY 14, 2015 -- Congratulations to our Master Jim Percoski on his Graduation from UCONN. We wish you the very best of luck. In other good new two of our members, Judy and Richard, had a very successful day selling cookbooks outside a store and kicked off the season in a great way. Our application for the Enfield Farmer’s Market will go in shortly with our participation from July to October on alternate weeks. Craft item and jams are in the making.
It’s said the best laid plans of mice and men can always be spoiled, and so have our plans for the Hilltop Farm garden. With a change in leadership at the Farm on what the land will be used for it was decided to allow us only a small area within the community garden, instead of the larger plot. We hope for the best and will look for alternatives.
Our baking contest winner was Dawn. She will bake again for Celebrate. Teacup auctions are doing very well with all the proceeds going to My Sister’ Place. Dawn also took first place with her afghan which now goes to Pomona for judging. Last, but not least, we enjoyed a visit from our State Master Noel Miller and Hank. Come join us for our “Indoor” picnic in July and have a great summer.
